Kentucky High School Softball - Anderson County nudges Assumption
April 13, 2024: Louisville, KY 40205 Anderson County Bearcats (Lawrenceburg, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY), 13-12 in a non-league challenge.
The Bearcats now own a 5-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Woodford County for a District 30 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Anderson County will face a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 10-5 non-league loss to Fort Walton Beach (Fort Walton Beach, FL). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 10-5.
With the loss, Assumption falls to 8-6 on the campaign. The Rockets travel to Oldham County (Buckner, KY) to face the Colonels in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Colonels enter the challenge with a record of 8-5. Oldham County lost 4-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Mercy (Louisville, KY)
