Tennessee High School Baseball - Powell defeats Tennessee
April 18, 2025: Powell, TN 37849 The Powell Panthers baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Tennessee Vikings to 5 in the Panthers non-league win on Friday.
The Panthers now own a 14-8 record. They take the field next when they host Daniel Boone for a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. Powell will clash with a Trailblazers team coming off a 18-0 non-league win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC). The Trailblazers record now stands at 22-8.
With the defeat, Tennessee drops to 14-7 on the year. The Vikings travel to Unicoi County (Erwin, TN) to clash with the Blue Devils in a 3A District 1 test on Monday, April 21. The Blue Devils go into the test with a record of 15-8. Unicoi County won 11-1 in their recent non-league test against Grainger (Rutledge, TN)
