South Carolina High School Softball - Buford holds off Chesterfield
April 19, 2024: Lancaster, SC 29720 Buford Yellowjackets (Lancaster, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Chesterfield Golden Rams (Chesterfield, SC), 9-7 in a league challenge.
The Yellowjackets now sport a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cheraw for a AA Region 5 challenge on Tuesday, April 23.
With the loss, Chesterfield falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Golden rams host McBee (McBee, SC) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 22. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 6-6. McBee won 7-2 in their recent non-league challenge against North Central (Kershaw, SC)
