Ohio High School Volleyball - Northview tips Walled Lake Western
April 19, 2025: Sylvania, OH 43560 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Northview Wildcats volleyball team scored a close 3-2 triumph over the Walled Lake Western Warriors.
The Wildcats (5-8) will now prepare for their battle against Swanton (Swanton, OH). The Bulldogs go into the non-league battle with a 2-6 record.
The Warriors now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mott for a battle on Wednesday, April 23.
Match Summary
SYLVANIA - Caturday's in Sylvania and this match vs. Walled Lake Western was the first match-up between both schools in program history and it was one for the record books. The Cats were victorious in a thrilling 5 set match, with the fifth set ending at 16-14.
Leading for Northview was junior outside hitter, Xavier Hale, with a team-high and career-high 25 kills, hitting .266. Northview's offense received 9 kills from junior outside hitter, Anthony Pedro. The Cats passed exceptionally well at 1.81 as a team, led by senior libero, Johnny Krolak at 1.95 while adding a team-high and career-high 23 digs. Senior setter, Dillon Ersig was masterful with 36 assists, 17 digs and 4 blocks.
The Cats return to action on Wednesday as they travel to Swanton High School.
