Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) followers left the game pleased Wednesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 11-1 in a league match.

With the triumph, Elkin moves its record to 5-15 on the season. The Buckin' Elks travel to South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC) to battle the Sauras in a Northwest 1A match on Thursday, April 24. The Sauras come into the match with a record of 9-12. South Stokes lost 13-3 in their recent non-league match against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)

The Trojans now possess a 2-18 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mount Airy for a Northwest 1A match on Friday, April 25. Alleghany will battle a Granite Bears squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC). The Granite Bears record now stands at 7-12.
