The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the North Myrtle Beach Chiefs (Little River, SC) and the host East Carteret Mariners (Beaufort, NC), observed North Myrtle Beach's softball team get by East Carteret by a tally of 6-5.

The Chiefs (12-10) will now prepare for their bout against Myrtle Beach (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Seahawks come into the AAAAA Region 6 outing with a 4-14 record.

With the loss, East Carteret moves to 9-13 on the season. The Mariners host Southside (Chocowinity, NC) to encounter the Seahawks in a Coastal Plains 1A/2A outing on Tuesday, April 29. The Seahawks come into the outing with a record of 8-8.
