Illinois High School Softball - Monmouth United bounces Peoria
April 23, 2025: Monmouth, IL 61462 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league bout between the Monmouth United Red Storm (Monmouth, IL) and the visiting Peoria Lions (Peoria, IL), observed Monmouth United's softball team prevail over Peoria by a tally of 20-2.
The Red Storm (3-14) will now prepare for their bout against Annawan-Wethersfield (Kewanee, IL). The Titans go into the Lincoln Trail bout with a 7-10 record. In their last bout, Annawan-Wethersfield was routed by Biggsville West Central (Biggsville, IL), 16-1, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Lions clash with the Urbana Tigers (Urbana, IL) in a Big Twelve bout, on Saturday, April 26. Peoria will attempt to advance on its 0-4 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 14-4 league loss to Normal Community (Normal, IL).
