Kentucky High School Softball - Assumption bounces Mercy
April 24, 2024: Louisville, KY 40205 Assumption Rockets (Louisville, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mercy Jaguars (Louisville, KY), 11-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Rockets now own a 13-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Oldham for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 25. Assumption will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 10-2 league loss to Oldham County (Buckner, KY). The Mustangs record now stands at 8-7.
With the loss, Mercy falls to 11-12 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY) to face the Chargers in a District 24 challenge on Thursday, April 25. The Chargers enter the challenge with a record of 14-4. Bullitt East won 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against DuPont Manual (Louisville, KY)
