The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) and the visiting Central Valley Warriors (Monaca, PA), saw Montour's baseball team beat Central Valley by a margin of 9-0.

The Spartans (9-6) will now prepare for their battle against Baldwin (Pittsburgh, PA). The Highlanders enter the WPIAL 5A 4 battle with a 7-5 record.

Next, the Warriors face the Hopewell Vikings (Aliquippa, PA) in a WPIAL 4A 1 battle, on Monday, April 28. Central Valley will attempt to improve on its 7-8 season record. The Vikings enter the battle with a 5-9 record after their 7-4 league win over Hampton (Allison Park, PA).
