South Carolina High School Soccer - Lexington nudges Cardinal Newman
April 25, 2025: Columbia, SC 29223 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC) and the host Cardinal Newman Cardinals (Columbia, SC), saw Lexington's soccer squad hold off Cardinal Newman by a count of 2-1.
The Wildcats (13-6) will now prepare for their battle against Lancaster (Lancaster, SC). The Bruins enter the non-league battle with a 11-6 record. In their last battle, Lancaster tipped York (York, SC), 3-2, in a league battle.
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Augusta Christian Lions (Martinez, GA) in a SCISA AAAA Region I battle, on Monday, April 28. Cardinal Newman will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Lions enter the battle with a 0-3 record after their 7-3 non-league loss to Alleluia Community (Augusta, GA).
