The Preston Knights softball squad (Kingwood, WV), was routed 9-1 in Friday's non-league contest with the host Southern Rams (Oakland, MD)

With the triumph, Southern improves its record to 5-5 on the year. The Rams host Allegany (Cumberland, MD) to face the Campers in a Western Maryland contest on Tuesday, April 29. The Campers enter the contest with a record of 11-3. Allegany lost 6-5 in their recent non-league contest against Meyersdale (Meyersdale, PA)

The Knights now hold a 3-13 record. They play next when they host Fairmont Senior for a Big Ten contest on Monday, April 28. Preston will face a Polar Bears squad coming off a 11-2 league win over East Fairmont (Fairmont, WV). The Polar Bears record now stands at 9-8.
