In Saturday's non-league game, the host Grosse Pointe South Blue Devils baseball team scored a close 8-3 victory over the Western International Cowboys.

The Blue Devils (18-1) will now prepare for their game against Edison Academy (Detroit, MI). The Pioneers enter the non-league game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Edison Academy held off Canton Preparatory (Canton, MI), 13-5, in a non-league game.

Next, the Cowboys face the Cass Tech Technicians (Detroit, MI) in a Detroit Public - Southwest game, on Tuesday, April 29. Western International will attempt to upgrade on its 12-5 season record. The Technicians enter the bout with a 14-3 record after their 21-0 non-league win over Oak Park (Oak Park, MI).
