In Saturday's non-league game, the host Mentor Cardinals baseball team scored a close 5-4 win over the North Royalton Bears.

The Cardinals (11-2) will now prepare for their game against Strongsville (Strongsville, OH). The Mustangs go into the Greater Cleveland game with a 13-3 record. In their last game, Strongsville nudged Cleveland Heights (Cleveland Heights, OH), 16-0, in a non-league game.
