The University Hawks (Morgantown, WV) baseball got by the host Parkersburg South Patriots (Parkersburg, WV), 4-3 in Monday's league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 12-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Buckhannon-Upshur for a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 1. University will clash with a Buccaneers team coming off a 9-0 non-league loss to Morgantown (Morgantown, WV). The Buccaneers record now stands at 7-13.

With the defeat, Parkersburg South drops to 14-10 on the year. The Patriots host Cabell Midland (Ona, WV) to clash with the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 1. The Knights go into the challenge with a record of 10-10. Cabell Midland won 5-1 in their recent league challenge against Spring Valley (Huntington, WV)
