Virginia High School Soccer - Lakeland toppled by Western Branch
April 28, 2025: Suffolk, VA 23434 Western Branch Bruins (Chesapeake, VA) backers exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 8-0 in a league test.
With the triumph, Western Branch advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Bruins host Indian River (Chesapeake, VA) to clash with the Braves in a Southeastern test on Tuesday, April 29. The Braves come into the test with a record of 3-4. Indian River won 11-0 in their recent non-league test against Booker T. Washington (Norfolk, VA)
The Cavaliers now have a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Deep Creek for a Southeastern test on Tuesday, April 29. Lakeland will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 11-0 non-league win over Lake Taylor (Norfolk, VA). The Hornets record now stands at 2-4.
