New Mexico High School Softball - Navajo Prep bounces Thoreau
May 1, 2024: Thoreau, NM 87323 Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Navajo Prep Eagles (Farmington, NM) and the host Thoreau Hawks (Thoreau, NM), witnessed Navajo Prep's softball squad prevail over Thoreau by a count of 21-2.
The Eagles now sport a 10-12 record. They play next when they host Zuni for a 3A District 1 match on Tuesday, May 7. Navajo Prep will face a Thunderbirds squad coming off a 11-1 non-league loss to Grants (Grants, NM). The Thunderbirds record now stands at 4-20.
With the loss, Thoreau moves to 4-13 on the season. The Hawks travel to Wingate (Fort Wingate, NM) to face the Bears in a 3A District 1 match on Tuesday, May 7. The Bears go into the match with a record of 10-11. Wingate lost 15-5 in their recent league match against Tohatchi (Tohatchi, NM)
