Kansas High School Soccer - Lawrence Free State nudges Olathe South
May 1, 2025: Lawrence, KS 66049 Fans at Thursday's league battle between the Lawrence Free State Firebirds (Lawrence, KS) and the visiting Olathe South Falcons (Olathe, KS), saw Lawrence Free State's soccer squad hold off Olathe South by a count of 3-2.
The Firebirds (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS). The Cougars enter the Sunflower battle with a 7-4 record. In their last battle, Shawnee Mission Northwest was nudged by Olathe East (Olathe, KS), 3-0, in a league challenge.
With the loss, Olathe South moves to 2-7 on the year. The Falcons host Gardner-Edgerton (Gardner, KS) to encounter the Trailblazers in a Sunflower challenge on Tuesday, May 6. The Trailblazers go into the challenge with a record of 4-8. Gardner-Edgerton lost 2-1 in their recent league challenge against Shawnee Mission Northwest (Shawnee Mission, KS)
