The crowd at Saturday's league battle between the Illinois Valley Central Grey Ghosts (Chillicothe, IL) and the visiting Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), saw Illinois Valley Central's baseball team gain a win over Rantoul by a tally of 7-2.

The Grey Ghosts (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Prairie Central (Fairbury, IL). The Hawks enter the Illini Prairie battle with a 5-17 record. In their last battle, Prairie Central was overwhelmed by Herscher (Herscher, IL), 10-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Eagles face the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers (Paxton, IL) in a Illini Prairie battle, on Monday, May 5. Rantoul will attempt to upgrade on its 10-9 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 11-8 record after their 6-5 non-league loss to Armstrong (Armstrong, IL).
