The Hilltop Lancers (Chula Vista, CA) softball routed the visiting San Diego Cavers (San Diego, CA), 7-1 in Monday's non-league outing.

The Lancers now sport a 12-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Chula Vista for a Metro South Bay outing on Wednesday, May 7. Hilltop will encounter a Spartans team coming off a 10-7 league loss to Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 9-7.
