The Palo Alto Vikings baseball team scored 19 runs and held the host Homestead Mustangs to 8 in the Vikings league win on Friday.

The Vikings now hold a 11-13 record. They take the field next when they host Burlingame for a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. Palo Alto will play a Panthers team coming off a 5-4 league win over Menlo-Atherton (Atherton, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 16-5.

With the defeat, Homestead drops to 7-17 on the year. The Mustangs host Piedmont Hills (San Jose, CA) to play the Pirates in a non-league test on Saturday, May 10. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 3-6. Piedmont Hills lost 13-2 in their recent league test against Ann Sobrato (Morgan Hill, CA)
