Wisconsin High School Softball - Thorp bounces Athens
May 10, 2025: Thorp, WI 54771 In Saturday's non-league match, the host Thorp Cardinals softball team scored a nice 8-0 victory over the Athens Bluejays.
The Cardinals (11-7) will now prepare for their match against McDonell Central (Chippewa Falls, WI). The Macks go into the Cloverbelt - West match with a 10-7 record. In their last match, McDonell Central was routed by Stratford (Stratford, WI), 10-0, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Bluejays battle the Wausau East Lumberjacks (Wausau, WI) in a non-league match, on Monday, May 12. Athens will attempt to better on its 4-11 season record. The Lumberjacks go into the match with a 1-14 record after their 23-2 league loss to Stevens Point (Stevens Point, WI).
