The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Decatur Central Hawks (Indianapolis, IN) and the visiting Martinsville Artesians (Martinsville, IN), observed Decatur Central's softball team get by Martinsville by a tally of 7-4.

The Hawks (9-11) will now prepare for their bout against Franklin Community (Franklin, IN). The Grizzly Cubs go into the Mid-State bout with a 15-10 record. In their last bout, Franklin Community was routed by Center Grove (Greenwood, IN), 11-1, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Artesians clash with the Perry Meridian Falcons (Indianapolis, IN) in a Mid-State bout, on Tuesday, May 20. Martinsville will attempt to advance on its 11-15 season record.
