The Brownstown Central Braves baseball team scored 11 runs and held the visiting South Ripley Raiders to 1 in the Braves non-league win on Saturday.

The Braves now own a 14-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Silver Creek for a Mid-Southern test on Monday, May 19. Brownstown Central will clash with a Dragons team coming off a 21-2 non-league win over Washington (Washington, IN). The Dragons record now stands at 16-3.

With the defeat, South Ripley drops to 6-7 on the year. The Raiders travel to Rising Sun (Rising Sun, IN) to clash with the Shiners in a Ohio River Valley test on Monday, May 19. The Shiners go into the test with a record of 4-11. Rising Sun lost 6-5 in their recent non-league test against North Decatur (Greensburg, IN)
