In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) softball team overwhelmed the host Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA), by a margin of 17-1.

With the triumph, Lamar County moves its record to 3-1 on the year. The Trojans host Callaway (Hogansville, GA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league contest on Thursday, August 10. The Cavaliers come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Callaway lost 15-0 in their recent non-league contest against Heard County (Franklin, GA)

In their next game, the War Eagles play the Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, August 16. Putnam County will attempt to move on its 0-2 season record.
