The Panthers now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Tioga for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 14. Van Alstyne will play a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-2 non-league loss to Bells (Bells, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-1.
With the loss, Gunter drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Tigers host Seguin (Seguin, TX) to play the Matadors in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 14. The Matadors come into the outing with a record of 2-0. Seguin won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Navarro (Geronimo, TX)
