The Butler Bulldogs volleyball squad (Matthews, NC), dropped 3-1 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC)

With the win, Sun Valley improves its record to 2-0 on the season. The Spartans travel to Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to encounter the Patriots in a non-league battle on Friday, August 16. The Patriots go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Pinecrest won 3-1 in their recent non-league battle against Ashley (Wilmington, NC)

The Bulldogs now own a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ballantyne Ridge for a non-league battle on Tuesday, August 20.
