August 14, 2025: Ellijay, GA 30540 Dawson County Tigers (Dawsonville, GA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Gilmer Bobcats (Ellijay, GA), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Dawson County improves its record to 5-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host North Hall (Gainesville, GA) to meet the Trojans in a 3A Area 6 challenge on Tuesday, August 19. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. North Hall won 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Habersham Central (Mt. Airy, GA)
Next, the Bobcats meet the Union County Panthers (Blairsville, GA) in a non-league test, on Thursday, August 14. Gilmer will attempt to improve on its 3-6 season record. The Panthers go into the test with a 3-1 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Rabun County (Tiger, GA).
