Ohio High School Volleyball - Galion ripped by Bellevue
August 19, 2025: Galion, OH 44833 Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Bellevue Redmen (Bellevue, OH) and the host Galion Tigers (Galion, OH), observed Bellevue's volleyball team top Galion by a tally of 3-0.
The Redmen (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Monroeville (Monroeville, OH). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 1-0 record. In their last contest, Monroeville beat Plymouth (Plymouth, OH), 3-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Tigers encounter the Shelby Whippets (Shelby, OH) in a Mid-Ohio Athletic test, on Thursday, August 21. Galion will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Whippets go into the test with a 1-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Columbian (Tiffin, OH).
Match Summary
The first set Galion came out nervous and shaky, but were able to establish a rhythm. Bellevue was having great success hitting against an inexperienced Galion defense. By the third set, Galion found their footing and the game saw several lead changes. Bellevue was steady and never waivered despite the surge by Galion. Bellevue, besides playing well all night, was able to capitalize on several last minute Galion errors to walk away with a clean 3-0 match and a good start to their season avenging last year's 2-3 loss.
