Indiana High School Soccer - Lake Central knocks off Merrillville
August 20, 2025: Merrillville, IN 46410 Fans at Wednesday's league battle between the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) and the host Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), saw Lake Central's soccer squad triumph over Merrillville by a score of 7-0.
The Indians (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against South Bend Saint Joseph (South Bend, IN). The Huskies enter the non-league battle with a 1-1 record. In their last battle, South Bend Saint Joseph was overwhelmed by Warsaw (Warsaw, IN), 6-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Pirates confront the Manchester Squires (North Manchester, IN) in a non-league test, on Saturday, August 23. Merrillville will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Squires come into the test with a 1-1 record after their 5-1 league loss to Peru (Peru, IN).
