August 21, 2024: Denver, NC 28037 Spectators at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Mountain Island Charter Raptors (Mt. Holly, NC) and the host East Lincoln Mustangs (Denver, NC), observed Mountain Island Charter's soccer squad nudge East Lincoln by a margin of 2-1.
The Raptors now hold a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Olympic for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 28. Mountain Island Charter will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over West Cabarrus (Concord, NC). The Trojans record now stands at 3-0.
With the loss, East Lincoln moves to 0-1 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to encounter the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 26. The Pioneers go into the challenge with a record of 2-1. Watauga won 3-0 in their recent non-league challenge against West Iredell (Statesville, NC)
