Georgia High School Volleyball - Elite Scholars Academy overwhelmed by Mount Vernon
August 21, 2025: Jonesboro, GA 30236 Mount Vernon Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) followers left the game satisfied Thursday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Elite Scholars Academy Royal Knights (Jonesboro, GA), 3-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Mount Vernon advances its record to 3-4 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Columbus (Columbus, GA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league game on Saturday, August 23. The Blue Devils go into the game with a record of 5-8. Columbus lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against Central (Carrollton, GA)
The Royal Knights (1-4) will now prepare for their game against Jackson Academy (Jackson, MS). The Raiders go into the non-league game with a 8-0 record. In their last game, Jackson Academy gained a win over Jackson Prep (Jackson, MS), 3-0, in a non-league game.
