The Sun Valley Spartans prevailed the visiting South Pointe Stallions volleyball squad by a final score of 3-0 in Thursday's non-league game.

Next up, the Spartans confront the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, August 27. Sun Valley will attempt to advance on its 8-2 season record. The Mountaineers enter the game with a 3-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Weddington (Matthews, NC).

The Stallions (0-5) will now prepare for their game against Northwestern (Rock Hill, SC). The Trojans enter the AAAAA Region 3 game with a 0-2 record. In their last game, Northwestern was dropped by Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
