In Friday's non-league game, the Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA) football team edged the visiting Clovis West Golden Eagles (Fresno, CA), by a score of 20-13.

In their next game, the Chargers face the Yorba Linda Mustangs (Yorba Linda, CA) in a non-league outing, on Thursday, August 28. Edison will attempt to move on its 1-0 season record. The Mustangs come into the outing with a 1-0 record after their 41-0 non-league win over Mayfair (Lakewood, CA).

With the loss, Clovis West falls to 0-1 on the year. The Golden eagles travel to Liberty (Bakersfield, CA) to face the Patriots in a non-league game on Friday, August 29. The Patriots enter the game with a record of 0-1. Liberty lost 49-45 in their recent non-league outing against Mountain Vista (Highlands Ranch, CO)
