The Northwestern Trojans (Rock Hill, SC) football tipped the host Hough Huskies (Cornelius, NC), 45-44 in Friday's non-league outing.

The Trojans now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Ridge View for a non-league outing on Friday, August 30. Northwestern will clash with a Blazers squad coming off a 42-18 non-league win over Fairfield Central (Winnsboro, SC). The Blazers record now stands at 1-0.

With the defeat, Hough drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Huskies host Myers Park (Charlotte, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league outing on Friday, August 30. The Mustangs come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Myers Park lost 24-21 in their recent non-league outing against Independence (Charlotte, NC)
