August 24, 2024: Minneapolis, MN 55419 Washburn Millers (Minneapolis, MN) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the visiting Eastview Lightning (Apple Valley, MN), 3-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Washburn moves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Millers host Woodbury (Woodbury, MN) to clash with the Royals in a non-league test on Monday, August 26. The Royals come into the test with a record of 0-1. Woodbury lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against St. Thomas Academy (Mendota Heights, MN)
The Lightning now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Stillwater for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 27. Eastview will clash with a Ponies team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Minneapolis Southwest (Minneapolis, MN). The Ponies record now stands at 1-0.
