The Canton C-Hawks (Canton, SD) football edged the host Sioux Falls Christian Chargers (Sioux Falls, SD), 27-20 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the C-Hawks face the Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 2. Canton will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Watchdogs enter the bout with a 1-0 record after their 41-6 non-league win over Milbank (Milbank, SD).
