The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Leon Cougars (Jewett, TX) and the visiting Brazos Cougars (Wallis, TX), saw Leon's volleyball squad beat Brazos by a tally of 2-0.

With the win, Leon upgrades its record to 13-3 on the year. The Cougars host Brazos Christian (Bryan, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, September 2. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 12-4.

The Cougars now own a 16-9 record. They play next when they travel to Lexington for a non-league bout on Saturday, August 27. Brazos will play a Eagles squad coming off a 3-2 non-league win over Mumford (Mumford, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 6-11.
