Fans at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), saw Independence's soccer squad hold off Palisades by a count of 3-2.

The Patriots (1-3) will now prepare for their battle against West Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Hawks enter the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, West Mecklenburg was edged by Chambers (Charlotte, NC), 9-0, in a non-league match.
