In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the visiting DeSoto Central Jaguars volleyball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the St. George's Gryphons.

The Jaguars (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Southaven (Southaven, MS). The Chargers enter the Class 7A Region 1 challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Southaven got by Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS), 3-0, in a league test.

The Gryphons now own a 2-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to First Assembly Christian for a D-II A District 6 test on Thursday, August 28. St. George's will face a Crusaders squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Rossville Christian Academy (Rossville, TN). The Crusaders record now stands at 0-2.
