Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) followers went home pleased Thursday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Traverse City West Titans (Traverse City, MI), 23-13 in a non-league battle.

With the win, Howell advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Highlanders host Salem (Canton, MI) to play the Rocks in a Kensington Lakes - West battle on Friday, September 5. The Rocks go into the battle with a record of 1-0. Salem won 54-0 in their recent non-league match against Utica Ford (Sterling Heights, MI)

Coming up next, the Titans confront the Grand Haven Buccaneers (Grand Haven, MI) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 5. Traverse City West will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Buccaneers come into the match with a 1-0 record after their 38-0 non-league win over Lakeshore (Stevensville, MI).
