Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Franklin Panthers (Franklin, NC) and the visiting Pisgah Bears (Canton, NC), observed Franklin's volleyball team top Pisgah by a count of 3-0.

The Panthers (8-0) will now prepare for their contest against North Henderson (Hendersonville, NC). The Knights enter the Mountain Seven 3A contest with a 1-7 record. In their last contest, North Henderson was knocked off by Tuscola (Waynesville, NC), 1-0, in a league contest.

Next, the Bears meet the West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC) in a Mountain Seven 3A contest, on Tuesday, September 3. Pisgah will attempt to move on its 3-5 season record. The Falcons enter the contest with a 8-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC).
