In Friday's non-league match, the host Hough Huskies football squad scored a decisive 52-13 triumph over the Myers Park Mustangs.

The Huskies (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Carolina Forest (Myrtle Beach, SC). The Panthers come into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Carolina Forest Hartsville (Hartsville, SC), 27-27, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Mustangs meet the Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 6. Myers Park will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Spartans come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 44-14 non-league win over Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
