Illinois High School Soccer - Lincolnwood knocks off Taylorville
September 2, 2023: Raymond, IL 62560 Lincolnwood Lancers (Raymond, IL) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Taylorville Tornadoes (Taylorville, IL), 8-0 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Lancers confront the Beardstown Tigers (Beardstown, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 7. Lincolnwood will attempt to better on its 2-0 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Pleasant Plains (Pleasant Plains, IL).
The Tornadoes now have a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Zion for a Apollo challenge on Tuesday, September 5. Taylorville will confront a Braves team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Centennial (Champaign, IL). The Braves record now stands at 2-1.
