Illinois High School Soccer - Providence Catholic knocks off Richards
September 3, 2024: Oak Lawn, IL 60453 Fans at Tuesday's non-league battle between the Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL) and the host Richards Bulldogs (Oak Lawn, IL), saw Providence Catholic's soccer squad prevail over Richards by a count of 4-0.
The Celtics (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against Glenbard South (Glen Ellyn, IL). The Raiders enter the non-league battle with a 2-0 record. In their last battle, Glenbard South Larkin (Elgin, IL), 1-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Bulldogs battle the Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South Meteors (Calumet City, IL) in a South Suburban battle, on Tuesday, September 10. Richards will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Meteors enter the battle with a 3-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Homewood-Flossmoor (Flossmoor, IL).
