North Carolina High School Volleyball - East Mecklenburg Sun Valley

September 3, 2025: Monroe, NC 28110

The Sun Valley Spartans volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting East Mecklenburg Eagles to 1 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Spartans now have a 7-9 record. They play next when they travel to Charlotte Catholic for a Southern Carolina 6A/7A outing on Thursday, September 4. Sun Valley will play a Cougars team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Christ the King (Huntersville, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 5-7.

With the loss, East Mecklenburg drops to 10-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC) to confront the Ravens in a Southwestern 7A/8A game on Thursday, September 4. The Ravens go into the game with a record of 0-5. Rocky River lost 3-0 in their recent league game against Ardrey Kell (Charlotte, NC)
