In Thursday's non-league game, the North Iberville Bears (Rosedale, LA) football squad knocked off the host Central Private Redhawks (Baker, LA), by a margin of 47-20.

The Bears now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Livonia for a non-league outing on Friday, September 12. North Iberville will clash with a Wildcats squad coming off a 25-7 non-league win over East Jefferson (Metairie, LA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.
