The Spartans (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Cavaliers enter the non-league challenge with a 1-1 record. In their last challenge, Cleveland was beaten by Burroughs (Burbank, CA), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Gladiators meet the Hamilton Yankees (Los Angeles, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 5. Marquez will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Yankees go into the test with a 0-3 record after their 3-0 league loss to Palisades (Pacific Palisades, CA).
