In Friday's non-league match, the visiting York Cougars football squad scored a decisive 49-14 triumph over the Union County Yellowjackets.

The Cougars (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Clover (Clover, SC). The Blue Eagles come into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Clover routed Palisades (Charlotte, NC), 48-12, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Yellowjackets confront the Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 13. Union County will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Wildcats come into the match with a 2-0 record after their 48-12 non-league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC).
