The Gainesville Cardinals volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Jefferson Cougars to 0 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Cardinals now sport a 7-1 record. They take the field next when they host Dominion for a non-league game on Saturday, September 6.

The Cougars (2-3) will now prepare for their game against Hedgesville (Hedgesville, WV). The Eagles enter the Eastern Panhandle game with a 10-3 record. In their last game, Hedgesville was dropped by Oakland Catholic (Pittsburgh, PA), 1-0, in a non-league outing.
