In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting Homestead Mustangs volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Milpitas Trojans.

The Mustangs (6-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Harker (San Jose, CA). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record.

Next, the Trojans play the Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, September 7. Milpitas will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Scots come into the challenge with a 1-2 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Mercy (Burlingame, CA).
